Our platform was launched as a proof of concept in Malta and has evolved into a vibrant disruptor in the global ride-hailing space. Having developed a world-class ride-hailing platform and deployed it in Malta, Athens and Bucharest, eCabs Technologies is now at the exciting stage to expand its presence across a number of European cities. Our aspiration is to fly the Maltese tech flag in European streets through the adoption of our innovative platform. We are now seeking to engage a Director of Sales & Business Development who will drive the penetration of our platform in our target markets.


Who You Are

As the Director of Sales & Business Development, you will be a passionate dealmaker, identifying, engaging, shaping and ushering the entry of the platform in new cities by teaming up with City Partners and developing long-term business growth strategies which will bring change to mobility in the markets we target. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage existing partnerships, and constantly seek growth and expansion.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to drive international growth.
  • Identify and prospect potential clients in international markets, including taxi operators, taxi associations, fleet managers, and transportation authorities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders, building rapport and trust.
  • Present our software solutions to potential City Partners, demonstrating value propositions and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiate and close deals, securing contracts with new City Partners and expanding our international presence.
  • Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Track and analyse sales performance data to identify trends, measure success, and optimize strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the ride-hailing sector.


Job requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development, preferably within the ride-hailing or technology industries.
  • Extensive experience in closing complex deals with international clients.
  • Deep understanding of the global ride-hailing/taxi industry, including market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and customer needs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, in English.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential clients at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple growth initiatives under tight timelines and with lean resources, using data to evaluate team and tactic effectiveness.
  • Entrepreneurial nature with a strong ability to manage through ambiguity.
  • Proficient in using sales and marketing software tools.
  • A passion for the ride-hailing industry and a desire to make a positive impact on the global transportation landscape is highly desired.
