About eCabs Technologies
eCabs Technologies is a European ride-hailing and mobility SaaS platform built by operators, for operators. We power licensed taxi and mobility partners across multiple markets and are scaling rapidly across Europe and beyond.
As we grow, we are deliberately strengthening leadership and accountability across the organisation. This role is central to that effort.
The role
· We are hiring a Head of People & Performance to fully own the people function at eCabs Technologies.
· This is a leadership role with end-to-end accountability. Your job is to ensure the organisation scales cleanly, performs consistently, and does not distract senior leadership from engineering, product, and commercial execution.
· This is not an advisory or support role. You lead, decide, and execute.
What you’ll be responsible for
End-to-end people ownership
· Own the people function in full: structure, hiring, performance, and exits
· Act as the single point of accountability for all HR-related matters
· Ensure HR issues do not spill into Tech, Product, or the CEO’s role
Organisation & performance
· Design and maintain clear organisational structures as the company scales
· Implement and enforce performance management frameworks
· Address underperformance early, fairly, and decisively
· Ensure managers are accountable for their teams and outcomes
Hiring & talent
· Own end-to-end recruitment for key roles across the business
· Partner with leadership to define roles clearly and hire for long-term fit
· Raise hiring standards through structured assessment and disciplined decision-making
· Build depth and succession, not fragile teams
Leadership partnership
· Operate as a senior counterpart to the executive team
· Challenge constructively when people decisions are misaligned with company goals
· Support leaders without absorbing their accountability
HR operations
· Ensure HR operations (contracts, compliance, visas, local employment matters) are handled efficiently
· Delegate operational execution while retaining ownership of outcomes
What success looks like
· HR is fully off the CEO and Tech/Product leadership plates
· Hiring quality and consistency improve measurably
· Performance issues are handled early, not escalated late
· Leadership operates with clarity, discipline, and accountability
· The organisation scales without people-related friction
Job requirements
What we’re looking for
· Proven experience leading a people function in a scaling company
· Comfortable operating at senior leadership level
· Strong bias toward ownership, execution, and outcomes
· Commercially minded, pragmatic, and decisive
· Able to operate in fast-moving, multi-market environments
· Experience in SaaS, technology, or platform businesses is a strong advantage.
What this role is not
· Not a purely operational HR role
· Not a light-touch advisory or HR BP position
· Not a function that escalates decisions upward by default
