We’re now looking for a Marketing Specialist (Local Operations) to join our dynamic team, someone who can connect the dots between strategy, creativity, and execution to help us grow the eCabs brand locally and drive demand across all our consumer channels.
The Role
As a Marketing Specialist focused on Local Operations, you will design and execute marketing strategies tailored specifically to the Maltese market.
Your work will bridge the gap between on-the-ground operational needs and brand-level marketing excellence. You’ll ensure that eCabs stands out in a highly competitive and fast-evolving mobility ecosystem, shaped by tourism cycles, commuter behaviour, nightlife hotspots, and local cultural rhythms.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute locally relevant marketing campaigns that reflect Malta’s unique dynamics including seasonality, tourism peaks, local events, and commuter patterns.
Track local market trends such as airport traffic surges, nightlife seasons, student population shifts, and changes in transport demand to adjust campaigns and promotions in real time.
Tailor group-level campaigns to the local context, ensuring messaging resonates with Maltese audiences and reflects cultural nuances.
Manage content creation and social media calendars tailored to Malta’s audience engagement patterns and community expectations.
Collaborate closely with Local Operations to identify demand opportunities across zones such as St. Julian’s/Paceville, Sliema, Valletta, and the airport corridor.
Support and execute local PR, partnerships, and community initiatives aligned to the Maltese customer base (e.g., event sponsorships, nightlife safety campaigns, tourism moments).
Work with local suppliers, creatives, and brands to ensure authentic representation and culturally aligned messaging.
Analyse local campaign performance, customer trends, and ridership data to optimise ongoing activities and uncover new growth opportunities.
Maintain strong brand visibility across all local touchpoints online & offline and ensure the eCabs brand consistently stands out within the Maltese ecosystem.
Job requirements
What You’ll Bring
4+ years of marketing experience, ideally within consumer brands, tech, mobility, hospitality, or fast-paced local markets.
Strong understanding of the Maltese market: tourism pulses, peak seasons, nightlife patterns, cultural events, and local customer behaviour.
Ability to translate local insights into actionable marketing opportunities.
Experience managing campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels.
Excellent English communication skills (Maltese is a strong advantage).
Creative yet data-driven approach, with the ability to adjust campaigns based on performance and demand.
Capability to work cross-functionally with operations, product, and central marketing teams.
Familiarity with tools such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Canva, and analytics dashboards.
