Who you are:
You are driven by results and possess excellent strategic, analytical, and coordination skills. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for defining the product vision and managing the product development process from start to finish. You will be responsible for building product and feature requirements for our ride hailing platform. You will take ownership of product verticals assigned to you and ensure that the products being developed by our tech teams meet the end user and business needs. Together with the Head of Product you will lead the team towards achieving the vision and mission of the organisation. You will continuously work to optimise systems while keeping abreast of industry trends and developments.
What you’ll do:
Identify areas of improvement within product vertical and take the lead to push for improvements identified.
Work with business stakeholders to define business requirements and build product and feature requirements.
Translate product and stakeholder requirements into highly specified user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for the development team.
Be up to date with industry trends and carry out competitor analysis to be fed into eCabs’ roadmap.
Implement learnings from end users and the QA team to optimise future releases and make recommendations to expand the product.
Together with other Product Owners, discuss dependencies and agree on planned activities to ensure tech initiatives run smoothly without blockers.
Plan and manage the delivery of the product vertical features, keeping all stakeholders up to date on progress.
Verify deliverables to ensure the acceptance criteria are met.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring:
Experience working as Product Owner within agile development teams.
Tertiary and/or post-secondary academic qualification in IT or Business.
Experience with JIRA or any other agile tool.
Be comfortable and confident working with both the technical and commercial sides of an organisation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into solvable and easily understandable parts.
Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to logically measure risk against potential gain.
Strong planning and leadership skills.
